The Classic VBXX® Bearing Isolator
The VBXX Bearing Isolator introduced the now-standard XX Interface to the Inpro/Seal Bearing Isolator design. The XX Interface is a horizontal interface between the stator and rotor that provides superior protection against contamination ingress by presenting a challenging position for contaminants to enter the seal assembly.
As a permanent bearing protection solution, the VBXX Bearing Isolator has performed for hundreds of thousands of bearings. It can still be found in use on some older equipment designs. The newest generation of Bearing Isolator is the VB45-S.

VB45-S: The Latest Bearing Isolator
In 2017, Inpro/Seal introduced the newest generation of Bearing Isolators: the VB45-S, providing permanent bearing protection against contamination ingress and lubrication loss in a unique compact design.
The VB45-S Bearing Isolator utilizes Inpro/Seal’s patented XX Interface coupled with an enlarged contamination chamber to achieve an IP66 rating, the standard for premium ingress protection against both harmful dust particulates and powerful water jets from all directions.
For superior protection against lubrication loss, the VB45-S utilizes an enlarged D-Groove to capture oil and return it back to the bearing housing or a grease band to block grease from traveling down the shaft and escaping from the bearing housing.
